We are looking for a passionate individual to oversee our Salesforce development initiatives, focusing on leveraging Salesforce technology to address critical public safety needs and provide core services to NYC's residents and non-profits. In this role, you will manage and guide vendor teams working on key applications, ensuring that deliverables align with our goals and meet high standards. You will also be instrumental in defining the Salesforce strategy, architecture, and long-term direction, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of solutions that impact essential city services. About our team: The DevOps Unit within OTI's Applications Division manages and supports 150+ applications, tools, and services serving residents, businesses, and other governmental agencies within the City of New York. These are public-facing and internal web applications that the City relies on to do its critical business and communicate important information to the public. Our team takes pride in utilizing modern technologies for most of our application portfolio, including AWS, Salesforce, containerization, and Azure DevOps. In addition, we leverage other SaaS and PaaS products such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 and ServiceNow to build large systems expeditiously. Responsibilities will include: -Oversee Salesforce implementations across several modernization initiatives and projects. -Work in a team-centric atmosphere to help move the organization and the City into the future. -Build resilient, scalable, maintainable, and flexible Salesforce cloud-based architectures. -Provide leadership and Salesforce expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices. -Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure applications are highly resilient. -Interface with technical and business teams, from developers to senior executives. -Assist administrators with complex Salesforce workflow rules and approval processes. -Review and enhance current Salesforce monitoring solutions. -Handle special projects and initiatives as assigned. HOURS/SHIFT Day - Due to the necessary technical support duties of this position in a 24/7 operation, candidate may be required to work various shifts such as weekends and/or nights/evenings.
