The company is reimagining traditional off-price retail with a digitally-native model focused on customer experience.Role Summary: Saks Global adds thousands of new items to our website each week and the Sample Assistant owns the physical movement (physical items) through the pipeline. Following the lead of and partnering closely with the Product Supervisor, the Sample Assistant is responsible for the organization and inspection of owned products and tracking the shoot lifecycle of the product for each area of business. The Sample Assistant is also responsible for communicating with vendors, buyers, and fulfillment center counterparts, coordinating vendor sample and inventory returns, and supporting the Product Supervisor with daily priorities. Cross-functional partners at this level include:

• Fulfillment Center Associates
• External Vendor Account Reps
• Studio / Photography Associates

Key Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to track the physical movement of products throughout the studio
• Skilled at juggling multiple tasks and prioritizing efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Must be willing to act with a sense of urgency to challenging work deadlines and SLAs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
• A passion for product and always exceeding internal and external customer expectations
• Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably in a retail, operations, or e-commerce environment. BA/BS preferred but not required
• Competent with Google Suite, Excel, and MS Word
• Team player with self-confidence, assertiveness, and personal motivation
• Positive attitude and ability to manage the repetitive nature of the role
• Must be able to lift boxes (20 pounds) and pack/unpack products

Role Description:

• Responsible for the physical organization of the Sample Management space including organizing samples by category, turn-in schedule, and priority
• Manage sample logistics that include but are not limited to maintaining an accurate tracker of all incoming and outgoing samples and owned merchandise while cross referencing multiple checkpoints
  • Packing, unpacking, sending back to the vendor/fulfillment center, tracking
  • Input data into product management system as needed
• Check the accuracy and quality of products; track and report issues to Product Supervisors/Manager
• Prepare product for daily turn-in to the studio teams (e.g. organize, tag)
• Assist Product Supervisor, Sr. Product Supervisor, & Manager with projects, process updates and support Product Supervisors as needed (take physical copy attributes off of products)
• Support where necessary in all areas of business
• Work as an integral part of a talented team in a fast-paced, proactive environment with a collegial/partnership approach
