The sanitation associate manages the clean-up process, start-up process, sanitation process, master sanitation schedule, and post clean-up verification program. Ensures the clean-up process is 100% complete and the plant maintains NO COLIFORM IN FINISHED PRODUCT. Drives a 100% on time start-up rate, with smooth running of the production process to hand off when the operator arrives.
- Responsible for the cleaning, sanitation, and documentation of sanitation and master sanitation schedules for the plant.
- Monitor, measure and report on production and sanitation related process performance, general issues
- Is a key liaison with Ecolab on sanitation procedures and compliance.
- Ensures all circuits are checked for titrations and are inspected after cleaning.
- Documents issues from shift, bottling line finish and start times, and CIP related issues.
- Keeps up to date the Quality Preventive Maintenance Schedule.
- Performs all pre-operation checks and releases machines to operators.
- Ensure that Health and Safety rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift.
- Maintain and ensure training skills are met for current and future demands of the shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma required. Associates degree or higher preferred.
- 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment (beverage, food, plastic).
- 1-2 years' experience with industrial grade chemicals and cleaners required.
- Able to work overnight shift.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and background checks.
- Willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as needed.
- Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance. Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 75 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a wet environment. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
Salary Description $15 - $17hr *rate based on experience
