Job DescriptionJob Summary:The Sanitation Technician is responsible for upholding QA and USDA cleanliness standards throughout the facility at Oakdell Egg Farms in Lewiston, UT.Essential Job Functions:Perform duties of cleaning and sanitizing facility by following established SSOP's.Dissemble equipment, clean all food contact and non-food contact surfaces using industrial chemicals and sanitation tools.Adhere to safe work practices, wears appropriate PPE when handling chemicals.Understands HAZCOM, GMPs, LOTO, confined space rules. Handles and dilutes chemicals according to safety rules.Report to Supervisor/lead any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.Assist with the completion of Master Cleaning Schedule.Assist maintenance personnel as needed.Perform any other duties as assigned.Education and Experience:Level 1:No prior experience required.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Level 3Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, with short correspondence. The ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situationsMATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Level 2Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers.REASONING ABILITY:Level 2Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram.Required Skills/Abilities:Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections:Ability to operate specific equipment or hand tools power tools.Ability to function as team member.Must be detail oriented.Follow and understand oral and written instructions.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
