Summary / Objective The Sanitation Associate will support Operations by keeping working areas in a clean and orderly condition. To perform this job successfully, the Sanitation Associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are, but not limited to, representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Essential Functions - Clean building floor by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming
- Remove plastic and debris from warehouse areas
- Clean windows and mirrors
- Clean and supply restrooms
- Remove waste and empty trash
- Organize janitorial storage areas
- Dispose of trash in dumpster or compactor
- Pick up trash from exterior grounds
- Document completed tasks using applicable sanitation forms
- Manage time efficiently and work individually as well as within a team
- Complete tasks outlined in Master Cleaning Schedule on schedule
- Use PPE when necessary to complete assigned tasks
Qualifications - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Ability to observe safety and security procedures and comply with company policies
- Ability to read and interpret written information
- Ability to follow sanitation schedules and program
- Ability to follow directions from supervisor
Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibility.
Work Environment This position works in a warehouse and office setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role may be required to use standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, tape dispensers and electric pallet jacks. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
