We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sanitation Manager to join our dynamic team in Florida. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all sanitation operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. This is a crucial role that requires a meticulous individual with a strong understanding of sanitation practices and procedures. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, as well as 1-2 years leading or managing teams.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation programs and procedures in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the management of chemical storage and use, ensuring compliance with Hazmat regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to sanitation standards and procedures.
  • Train and supervise sanitation staff, promoting a culture of safety and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address sanitation concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain documentation related to sanitation activities, including but not limited to, SSOPs, SOPs, and MSS.
  • Continually assess and improve sanitation processes, equipment, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Respond to sanitation emergencies, coordinating the response team and ensuring the situation is handled safely and promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sanitation management, preferably in the engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of sanitation standards and practices, including SQF.
  • Bilingual speakers (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with staff at all levels.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Certified in Hazardous Materials Management (CHMM) or similar certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal sanitation regulations and requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
