Position: Sanitation Manager (Graveyard Shift)
Location: Fullerton, CA
Compensation: $115,000 annually, with a 10% performance-based bonus
Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Our client, a rapidly expanding food manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Sanitation Manager to lead their sanitation team in Orange, CA. This role is crucial for upholding the highest standards in food safety, product quality, and employee well-being, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Position Summary:
As the Sanitation Manager, you will oversee the sanitation department, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who will implement effective sanitation protocols, drive team performance, and optimize processes to meet the organization's food safety and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to elevate safety, cleanliness, and efficiency in alignment with plant goals.
- Develop and conduct training programs to ensure the team adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) standards.
- Oversee the sanitation team's compliance with Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures (SSOPs) and regulatory requirements, ensuring food safety, quality, and environmental standards are met.
- Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality control, and warehousing, to support coordinated plant operations.
- Track and analyze sanitation metrics such as sanitation effectiveness, air quality, environmental monitoring, and chemical usage, to support key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain and update the master cleaning schedule to ensure thorough and effective sanitation practices.
- Supervise daily production startup processes, adjusting sanitation protocols as needed to support smooth operations.
- Prepare for and support third-party, customer, and regulatory audits by ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a management role within sanitation, ideally in the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage processes, and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills, with a focus on productivity and meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel for tracking and analyzing sanitation performance data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
- Experience with regulatory audits, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
