These duties include janitorial, sanitation, forklift, climbing ladders, etc. The Sanitation Operators must ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality and continuous improvement. They must have the skill set to train and/or perform the tasks of other associates in the area as needed. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support site objectives.Sign-On bonus / Internal Referral ProgramAfter 90 days, $500 Dollars;After 180 days, $500 Dollars;Key Responsibilities:Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within a line or areaFollow all lock out tag out proceduresMaintain proper GMP's for siteOperates equipment in a safe and efficient mannerTakes corrective actions in solving problems to root cause levelResponsible for implementing site and corporate Food Safety and Sanitation InitiativesWork in conjunction with the quality teamAssist in managing waste and recycle streams for siteParticipates in Food Safety inspections and reportsExecute Master Cleaning ScheduleMust be forklift certified or have the ability to qualifyOperate aerial lift and material movement equipmentAssess equipment operating reliability and perform routine repairs, adjustments and malfunction troubleshootingPerforms all shift support documentation in a quality matterDemonstrates high degree of ownership for product quality: Performs all standard quality checks & other quality related dutiesAll associates are responsible for the safety, quality and food safety in their work areaPhysical/Environmental Requirements:Standing on a concrete floorWearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55 lbsMust be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicalsMust be able to work at heightsMust be able to work in confined spacesMinimum Qualifications:Be 18 years of age or olderHave a High school diploma, GED or equivalent educationMust be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedulesAbility to understand and effectively communicate in the English languagePreferred Qualifications:3+ years of manufacturing experience operating a variety of machines2 years of work experience within manufacturing, or a technical and/or trade disciplineDemonstrated competency in computer and pc software including MS Office and emailKnowledge of inventory control principlesOur Commitment to SustainabilityWith the Colgate brand in more homes than any other, we are presented with great opportunities and new challenges as we work to integrate sustainability into all aspects of our business and create positive social impact.
