This team member provides information to the public about City regulations concerning solid waste disposal and recycling; performs various clerical tasks related to the operations of the City's landfill as directed by the Solid Waste Supervisor; and is responsible for monitoring refuse entering the landfill in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

The qualified individual must understand the practices and procedures of the City landfill and must have basic computer skills, including, but not limited to, Internet, Word, Excel, Publisher, and E-mail. The position requires handling cash, checks, and credit card machines.

High school diploma/GED and prior landfill experience preferred, but not required; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Must possess a valid Texas driver's license. Attend Waste Screening classes when available.

This is a 40hr per week full-time position. Must be able to work 10/hr day work schedule of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Monday.
