JOB SUMMARYAll candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for managing, installing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and providing on-going Basis technical support for all SAP systems. This individual will troubleshoot and resolve SAP issues and will proactively enhance and maintain system stability, integrity, and performance.This individual must be able to collaborate easily and cross functionally with various departments and regions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, maintain, configure, and tune SAP environments to ensure integrity, and stabilityPerform daily administration, monitoring, and system health checks. If issues arise, troubleshoot and perform problem analysis and resolutionAssist in the planning, designing, and architecting of the SAP landscape and continuous improvement projects. Provide support and perform problem resolution during development and maintenance phases of SAP projectsAnalyze system logs and performance metrics and conduct workload analysis. Recommend and implement improvements in a timely manner to ensure optimal performanceHandle, prioritize, and resolve break-fix and enhancements ticketsPlan and implement SAP upgrades and new implementations as requiredDaily monitoring, administrating, troubleshooting and tuning of all SAP systemPerform regular system maintenance, patching, and upgradesManage SAP user access and security settingsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SAP environmentCollaborate with functional teams for seamless integration of SAP modulesEnsure system compliance with organizational policies and industry standardsCORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTSExperience with the installation and maintenance of SAP systems/infrastructure and software components for ECC and HANAWorking knowledge of SAP Basis administration; managing, monitoring, transport system management, system refreshes, upgrades/support packs, tuning, and troubleshooting of the SAP systemsAbility to translate business requirements into technical design and maintain comprehensive technical documentationAbility to comply with, and contribute to, system configuration standards and guidelinesAbility to maintain status of tasks, defects, issues, and support requests dailyStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills for assessment of complex production support issues and ability to recommend and implement effective solutionsExperience in distribution and manufacturing preferredSAP Basis or SAP Security certifications preferredProtective Industrial Products (PIP) is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in theworkplace.
