SAP Liaison I - UPMC - Pittsburgh Medical Center : Job Details

Job Description: UPMC Western Behavioral Health at Mon Yough is hiring a full-time SAP Liaison I to support Propel Schools in Montour, PA.The SAP Liaison I will provide education and consultation services to schools through the Student Assistance Program. Act as a specialist consultant to core teams and engage in community prevention activities. Duties will be performed at various off-site locations, including schools, community centers, and events.The shift for this position is primarily Monday - Friday 7:45 am to 3:15 pm with flexibility to work a few evenings as needed for school events. Responsibilities:Offer consultation on SAP, child development, and at-risk student identification/intervention to school personnel.Facilitate educational/support groups and attend BDAP-regulated trainings for certification.Communicate with school staff and parents about student progress confidentially.Conduct individual student assessments and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, and community agencies.Provide classroom prevention/education sessions and attend relevant meetings.Offer information and referrals to appropriate services.Conduct individual sessions with referred students.Provide ATOD/MH prevention and education presentations in the community.BA/BS in social services/human services with 3 years in child serving system/SAP-Prevention field.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:CANS Certification and SAP Certification ?(acquired after completion of trainings and a 6-month homework window)Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Comprehensive Crisis Management (CCMC)Driver's LicenseAct 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewalAct 33 with renewalAct 34 with renewalAct 73 FBI Clearance with renewalUPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
