Plans should reflect special cultural, religious, physical, and psychosocial needs and contain expected outcomes.- Initiate appropriate emergency measures following protocols, such as resuscitation in cases of cardiac or respiratory arrest.- Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by physicians, including medication, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation.- Provide and document patient and family education on preventive, curative, and rehabilitative measures, tailored to their learning needs, styles, barriers, and readiness.- Record observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures administered, and coordinate activities between nursing and other professional disciplines.- Evaluate progress towards achieving patient outcomes and update plans of care based on patient status, interventions, and responses.- Document specific health care requirements and assign tasks to team members according to their skills and abilities.- Oversee care administered by licensed practical nurses and unlicensed personnel, and provide technical guidance, delegation, and direction.- Assist in maintaining adequate supplies and equipment, ensure upkeep of the unit, and preserve a safe environment.- Maintain knowledge and competency reflecting current nursing practice and promote professional growth for self and staff.- Demonstrate leadership qualities and adhere to professional, ethical, and legal standards of nursing.- Foster positive work habits, interpersonal skills, and relationships with employees, administration, medical staff, patients, and families. Note: Adherence to the specified shift pattern is mandatory, including working every other weekend and holidays. Assignment will be canceled if these requirements are not met.
