Scala, Spark and Azure Technology Architect - Infosys : Job Details

Infosys is seeking a Scala, Spark and Azure Technology Architect. In the role of Technology Architect, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of Data Solutions Life Cycle including strategy & roadmap, architecture definition, design, implementation, and operations. You will play an important role in defining data strategy, solutions/tools strategy, and architecture directions with clients for building/modernizing Digital solutions powered by Data and AI. You will also do technical feasibility and identify innovative ways to help clients derive value from their data investments. You will guide the team technically and work closely with offshore team acting as a communication medium between the client and offshore.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecting and designing End-to-End Enterprise data engineering solution on Azure data platform (Scala/Pyspark, Synapse, Fabric)
• Strong Data analysis and Data Modelling skills
• Ability to evaluate between various native, third-party and open-source components/services, and propose the right architecture for client needs
• Provide technical leadership and hands-on oversight in developing data processing applications on Spark using Scala programming, focusing on Microsoft Azure Synapse Spark Runtime.

Required Qualifications:

• Candidates must be located within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA or Richardson, TX or Raleigh, NC or must be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel within the US.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 11 years of Information Technology experience
• 5-6 years of Experience in architecting data Engineering space on Scala & Spark + Azure.
• At least 4 years of hands on experience in handling large amount of big data using Azure and pyspark Ecosystems.
• At least 2 years of experience with Scala/Python/Java required
• Experience in data migration and cloud modernization from legacy/on-premise platforms
• Solution architecture support for pre-sales and proposals: Estimation, Sizing, Solution evaluation and recommendation, Client presentation, etc.
• Strong Data analysis and Data Modelling skills
• Ability to evaluate between various native, third-party and open-source components/services, and propose the right architecture for client needs
• Strong programming background including Scala, SQL, Python and Pyspark framework
• Azure Data platform, ETL/ELT services, DWH, and Analytics services(Synapse)

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
