Scenic Paint Intern - AOA : Job Details

APPLICATIONS CLOSE February 10th JOB TITLE SCENIC PAINT INTERNWORK LOCATION Orlando, FLSCHEDULE Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, or as needed/subject to changeGENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION This intern will be assisting with scenic paint work on-site and in the shop throughout their internship. They will be introduced to different scenic techniques such as washes, drybrush, scumble, wet blend, etc. Application of graphic paint mask, as well as some introduction to spraying paint with various HPLV spray guns. They will learn different techniques for painting faux wood, metal, and other surfaces. RESPONSIBILITIES •Assist Lead Scenic in fulfilling the specific paint scope as desired by the client •Set up area for work each day, including but not limited to, setting up water access, ladders, lights, air compressors and hoses.•Ordering and pickup of material as directed by the Lead Scenic •Mixing paint colors and washes •Application of painting techniques under the supervisor of the Lead Scenic •Clean up of equipment tools and space at the end of the day QUALIFICATIONS •Ability to take direction, adapt to change, establish relationships, and work in a team environment•Excellent written and verbal communication skills•Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)•Problem-solving skills•Self-starter that does not necessarily require all tasks to be delegated; able to recognize tasks that must be addressed and resolvedEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree or in pursuit of, with an emphasis in theater, architecture, production design, liberal arts or another related fieldAOA Company Information About Our Internship Program:At AOA, you work side by side with our remarkable team on the world's most unique experiences.
