With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis seeks a Scheduler to join our team in San Francisco to play a crucial role in the successful execution of Caltrain projects by ensuring that project schedules are effectively planned, managed, and maintained. This position requires technical proficiency, strong organizational skills, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders to achieve project milestones and objectives.The Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for Caltrain projects. This role requires expertise in project scheduling software, a thorough understanding of project management principles, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.Role Accountabilities:
  • Develop and establish initial project schedules based on project scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to gather input and define project scheduling requirements.
  • Incorporate resource requirements, constraints, and dependencies into the project schedule.
  • Monitor and update project schedules throughout the project lifecycle to reflect actual progress, changes, and delays.
  • Identify critical path activities and potential schedule impacts and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct schedule analysis to assess schedule performance and adherence to milestones.
  • Collaborate with project teams to allocate resources (e.g., manpower, equipment) effectively to meet project schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to integrate their schedules and activities into the master project schedule.
  • Optimize resource utilization to minimize project duration and maximize efficiency.
  • Identify scheduling risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential delays.
  • Analyze schedule variances and deviations from baseline plans and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communicate schedule impacts and potential risks to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare regular progress reports, including schedule status updates, milestones achieved, and upcoming activities.
  • Present schedule-related information to project teams and stakeholders during meetings and reviews.
  • Facilitate discussions on schedule-related issues and collaborate on solutions with project teams.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project schedules, revisions, and approvals.
  • Ensure compliance with Caltrain scheduling guidelines, procedures, and reporting requirements.
  • Support audits and reviews by providing comprehensive schedule documentation and analysis.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in project scheduling, preferably on transportation infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Key Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $160,000.
