Job Type Full-timeDescriptionSUMMARY:Responsible for performing a variety of clerical duties relating to the updating and organizing of schedules on the nursing units; coordinating work within the unit as well as with other units and departments; reporting pertinent information to the unit managers and DON; responding to inquiries and requests from staff personnel, etc.AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY1. Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Providence Health Care, Inc.2. Is knowledgeable of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment.3. Completes and adjusts schedules and coordinates staffing coveragea. Reviews requests made by floor staff including trades, schedule requests, vacation requests, and personal requestsb. Creates schedules for each Unit and disciplinec. Creates daily assignments for each unitd. Manages call-ins and arranges coverage during scheduled hourse. Works collaboratively with Unit Managersf. Creates and distributes orientation schedules4. Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:a. Confidentiality of all data, including patient, employee and operations data.b. Quality Assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.c. Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.5. Supports and participates in common teamwork:a. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.b. Uses tactful, appropriate communication in sensitive and emotional situations.c. Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or patients regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.d. Promotes positive public relations with patients, family members and guests.6. Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.RequirementsEDUCATIONRequired: CNA LicenseHigh school diploma or equivalent required.2-5 years' experience in medical setting preferred.
