SYNERGY HomeCare of Central Virginia is searching to fill the position of Scheduler to support our fast-growing business. This role will significantly impact our daily operations and our
commitment to providing stellar care to our clients, families, and referral partners. This important role
requires a high degree of detail, the ability to multi-task, and should possess excellent problem-solving,
communication, and interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use web-based scheduling application as the basis for all scheduling
Create and maintain schedules
Resolve callouts
Keep a current hot list of staff that can be scheduled immediately or utilized in an on-call
situation
Maintain ongoing communication with all necessary parties
Scheduling ongoing shifts, keeping schedule current and up to date
Caregiver/Client matching
Concise and professional response to email/text/phone
On-call after-hours backup during weekends and weeknights (in rotation with other staff)
Understand and follow all company policies
Introduce Caregivers to Clients
Send birthday and get-well cards to Caregivers and Clients
Document all correspondence with Caregivers and Clients
Respond to incoming phone calls, text messages and emails
Respond to late alerts and follow up with the Caregiver on their status
Each week, contact Caregivers who are not scheduled to confirm their availability

QUALIFICATIONS
1-2 years of client scheduling experience a plus
Must be well organized and demonstrate attention to detail
Proficient with computer use and software applications
Multi-tasker and customer service-oriented
Excellent time management skills
Private Duty Home Care experience preferred but not required
Exemplary phone skills, communication skills, and customer service skills
Ability to collaborate and work as a team
Willingness and drive to problem-solve
Receptive to training and coaching
Present a professional image and conduct
JOB TYPE: Full-time, non-exempt, 8:30 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, on-site in our Ashland
office and reports to the Client Care Coordinator
EXPERIENCE
Scheduling: 1 year (Preferred)
Healthcare: 1 year (Preferred)
Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
