DESCRIPTION
Enrollment Management (EM) is a multi-unit department within the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor-Academic Affairs. The department is led by the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management (AVC EM), who serves as the Chief Enrollment Officer and Chief Outreach Officer of the University. EM comprises multiple high-profile, core functional units including: the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid & Scholarships Office, Cal-SOAP, Creative Services, Enrollment Analytics, and the Business Office. We work to advance the academic and public service missions of UC San Diego by ensuring equitable access to education and empowering students throughout their educational journeys.
The Office of the Registrar supports the instructional missions of the University by providing core enrollment service to students, faculty, colleges, academic departments, professional schools and summer session in the areas of academic records, class scheduling, registration, and degree audits.
The Scheduling Coordinator works under the direction of higher-level Registrar Specialist. The incumbent provides timely and accurate classroom scheduling support for the Classroom Scheduling Team in the Office of the Registrar, ensuring seamless continuity of services. Applies knowledge of scheduling principles, policies, and procedures to manage and optimize classroom utilization, resolve scheduling conflicts, and maintain accurate scheduling records. Interprets and enforces institutional, state, and federal regulations, such as FERPA, to ensure regulatory compliance and protection of student data. Collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators to resolve scheduling issues and provide excellent customer service. Utilizes technology systems solutions and best practices to advance scheduling processes and maintain data integrity. Works under the direction of higher-level Registrar Specialist to complete assignments and projects of moderate scope and complexity, exercising judgment within defined guidelines and practices to determine appropriate action.
QUALIFICATIONS

* Working knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and productivity software.
* Experience using complex databases.
* Ability to work with people from diverse cultures. Utilizes excellent constituent service skills with all interactions. Demonstrated experience and skill to routinely monitor production and quality of work being produced by student staff and set performance standards, observing behavior, providing objective feedback, counseling, and effective leadership/coaching/mentoring. Demonstrated experience and skill to assess student staff capabilities and workloads and redistribute when necessary. Demonstrated experience and skill to teach/train student staff in all aspects of job duties/responsibilities.
* Knowledge of specialized registrar core functions (e.g., degree requirements, special enrollment, veterans' benefits, and residency).

Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $58,600 - $100,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $28.07 - $48.28
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
