Job Title: Scheduling Coordinator (Contract)Location: Paramus, NJ 07652Duration: 3 MonthsJob Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scheduling Coordinator to manage the scheduling of tests, procedures, and surgeries under the direction of the Practice Supervisor or Manager. This role requires an experienced professional who can provide exceptional patient service while efficiently coordinating and managing scheduling logistics across multiple facilities.Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule procedures, surgeries, and pre-op/post-op appointments in an efficient and courteous manner.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information, obtain insurance precertification, and confirm benefits.
• Ensure all pre-operative requirements are met, including surgical documentation, consents, and clearances.
• Communicate procedural details, pre-op instructions, and appointment information to patients.
• Arrange co-surgeon or assistant and coordinate with additional departments as needed.
• Maintain block time at hospitals and ensure all cases meet hospital guidelines.
• Track surgical cases, testing, and pathology results and assist with surgical billing and coding.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients and visitors in a friendly and empathetic manner.
• Adjust work schedule as needed to support the practice, attending surgical service meetings and covering within the Physician Services Division as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a scheduling or surgical coordination role, preferably within a medical office setting.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in medical terminology, and knowledge of HIPAA guidelines.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED (HiSET accepted).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with surgical coding (CPT and ICD-10) is preferred.

• Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
