The result is lower expenses and increased productivity for the auto insurance and workers' compensation insurance carriers; third party administrators (TPAs); and government entities we serve.The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for managing the case per the individual client's requirements. The position is responsible for the intake and schedule of orders via phone, fax and internet. The position ensures that all supporting functions complete client requests thoroughly. The position routinely forecasts and coordinates upcoming client needs. Essential Job Responsibilities:Operations
  • Manage the case to individual client requirements.
  • Discuss case with the client and determine which type of physician is appropriate (e.g. specialty) to assign to the case.
  • Schedule/reschedule IME's and ancillary services from requests received via phone, fax and internet.
  • Work with claimants to schedule appointments.
  • Troubleshoot scheduling problems.
  • Follow up after the exam to ensure that it took place.
  • Coordinate/complete all follow up resulting from the order, including correspondence, transportation, interpreters and chaperones.
  • Obtain/maintain standing time from physicians.
  • Coordinate locations and travel arrangements for the physician if necessary.
  • Track and perform any and all second tier follow up including reminder calls and notifications, weekly physician schedules, daily shows/no shows, etc.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with both clients and physicians
Administration
  • Attend various marketing functions as requested.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record
  • Maintain proficiency with company computer system, databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a spoken understanding of URAC accreditation elements relevant to the position, and actively practice and apply such standards as outlined in company policies and procedures. Mandatory participation in URAC training programs relative to the position. Participation in established and future designated URAC committees may be required per company policy.
Qualifications:To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. Experience in the insurance, legal or healthcare industry in preferred. Sales experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
