Scheduling Coordinator - Surgery - Days - Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas : Job Details

The Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for the daily schedules, charges, stats and other duties associated with Perioperative Services. Essential Job Duties. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Receives calls from physicians offices, patients, and hospital departments for scheduling of perioperative procedures, accurately records information, obtains necessary information for patient contact, and obtains written order for scheduled testing. Assures all data and documents have been obtained and properly entered into hospital records. Performs clerical duties by preparing, compiling, and maintaining patients' surgical records on the unit. Ensures previous day patient charges are in HMS system and reconciled daily. Facilitates communication with physicians, Nursing Administration and patient support services.
