Job Description :
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years related experience. JOB DESCRIPTION: To provide analysis of high volume centralized scheduling center activities; to formulate recommendations designed to improve the operational effectiveness of the work area, increasing productivity and controlling costs; and to provide consulting support to management for program development and planning. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Contributes to the success of UTMB Managed Care Organization.
  • Conducts extensive analysis of departmental functions and procedures by using work simplification, organizational analysis, work measurement, staffing control and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Supervises the development and coordination of centralized scheduling center and scheduling personnel.
  • Oversees the preparation and documentation of recommendations and the implementation of new methods or systems that improve the operational effectiveness of the work area.
  • Creates and edits all departmental procedure manuals.
  • Monitors automatic call distributor system
  • Develops training program and staff development procedures.
  • Identifies appropriate internal controls for department; provides mechanisms to monitor and enforce compliance.
  • Performs related duties as required.
