Summary of Primary Function/Scope : Scheduling Specialist interfaces with agencies and therapists to ensure patients receive the therapy services prescribed within the time frames established by the diagnoses and those guiding the care plan. Handling changes to therapist assignments generated by agency requests/requirements or patient preferences is an integral part of the role. The successful Scheduling Specialist will make adjustments to therapist schedules to reduce referral rejections and to maximize all therapy resources for IHT. Locations: King of Prussia, PA, Burr Ridge, IL or West Palm Beach, FL. Essential Responsibilities: • Assign therapists to patient cases based on specific criteria and within established time frames. • Reassigning therapists to patient cases when necessary. • Forecasting for upcoming hiring needs and communicating those with management. • Assure that initial patient visit is done within specified time frame. • Maintaining professional and timely communication with customers and field therapists. • Establishing rapport with customers and field therapists. • Performs other related duties as assigned. Education/Experience: • High school diploma/GED • 1-2 years of experience as a Scheduling Specialist or similar position Other Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities: • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Exceptional computer skills • Highly organized and detail-oriented • Ability to work quickly and efficiently
