About the Job:The Nutrition Group has an open position of District Sous Chef with the Beaufort County School District. This position entails assisting the District Chef with catering and special event planning, training kitchen staff in the area of culinary skills, managing staff, or assisting with kitchen operations as needed. Duties to include:

• Culinary expertise in preparing food and training kitchen staff
• Menu development in conjunction with USDA and state guidelines
• Cost and inventory controls
• Staff management
• Accurate accounting practices
• Communications with school district officials

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree Required, Bachelor's Preferred
• At least 1-2 years' Experience in Staff Management
• Food Service Experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A criminal background check must be completed prior to the offer of a position
