About AchieversAchievers Early College Prep Charter School (AECP) is New Jersey's first public charter school for students in middle school and high school that provides them with the unique opportunity to pursue one of four STEAM pathways (Health Sciences, Digital Media, Audio Engineering and Cisco Computer Networking). Students can have access to a program that allows them to earn up to 60 college credits, NOCTI credentials and workplace training. About The RoleAchievers Early College Prep Charter School seeks a hard-working, compassionate and knowledgeable individual to serve as a middle school and high school nurse for grades 6-9. Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity is a must. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform hearing, vision and other health screenings
- Treat students and staff as needed
- Prepare incident reports for student and staff injuries
- Develop care plans for students with ongoing conditions
- Consult with teachers, school administrators and other school staff regarding student care
- Administer medication
- Monitor student immunization records
- Educate students and staff on health procedures
- Help students who have feeding disabilities
Essential Qualifications
- A minimum degree of Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or Registered Nurse License is required
- Candidate possessing a Standard School Nurse Certificate (CSN) for the state of NJ and will have all professional licenses and required training up to date is preferred
- Signing bonus up to $5000 for qualified candidates with current valid CSN
- Achievers is a public charter school and the successful candidate will be a pensioned, 10-month employee with benefits
