The ideal candidate will provide healthcare services, promote wellness, and support the educational success of all students. The School Nurse will collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare providers to create a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for students and staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Health Services: Provide first aid, emergency care, and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
• Health Assessments: Conduct screenings (vision, hearing, and other health assessments) as required by state or district policies.
• Chronic Condition Management: Develop and implement care plans for students with chronic illnesses or special health needs.
• Medication Administration: Safely administer medications as prescribed, adhering to school and state policies.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in accordance with legal and regulatory standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, counselors, and parents to support students' physical and mental well-being.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and school policies related to student health and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS Licensure: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license or (LPN) in GA. Experience: Previous experience in pediatric or school-based healthcare is preferred. Skills: Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently. WORKING CONDITIONS This role is primarily based within the school, with some travel to district meetings or training as needed.
