School Nurse - Per Diem - 1099 Contract

We are seeking a compassionate and qualified Per Diem School Nurse to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the health and well-being of our students while providing necessary care and support.

Job Summary: As a Per Diem School Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing health care services for students. You will work collaboratively with the school team to promote student health and address health-related issues in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate medical care to students in need of first aid or emergency care.
• Assess student health needs and individualized health plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for students.
• Conduct health screenings and monitor immunization compliance.
• Educate students on health-related topics, including hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Participate in school health initiatives and wellness programs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations and school policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid nursing license (RN or LPN)
• Previous experience in a school setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
• CPR and First Aid certification

Schedule:

• Per diem basis; hours will vary based on school needs and availability.

Working Conditions:

• This position requires the ability to work in a school environment, interacting with students and staff throughout the day.
