We are seeking a Senior Scientific Business Analyst to join the Catalyst ELN team. In
this role, you will support the diverse needs of over 1,000 scientists, helping to shape and
implement an informatics ecosystem that streamlines scientific workflow and enhances
collaboration across different parts of the organization.
Goals/Deliverables
● Lead interviews with biologists and chemists to understand their ELN-related workflows
and requirements.
● Conduct follow-up analysis and create documentation, including process diagrams and
technical specifications.
● Develop user stories from gathered requirements and collaborate with delivery BAs and
scientific stakeholders to refine them as needed.
● Create tailored templates and training materials based on user requirements.
● Facilitate and support ELN training sessions and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Competences and Qualifications
Experience:
● 5-7 years as a Scientific Business Analyst in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
● Strong familiarity with ELNs, particularly Signals Notebook, Benchling, Biovia, and
Dotmatics is preferred. Experience migrating other biotech/pharma technology will work as well.
● Experience with application development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall,
and related activities such as writing user stories, process modeling, use case
development, user acceptance testing, and organizational change management.
● Experience or education within Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, etc. is required.
