The ideal candidate must excel in navigating through complex projectsand strategically developing and implementing systems and strategies that willgovern effective project and portfolio management practices in the setting ofearly innovation while ensuring a portfolio that is aligned with the company'sinnovation and growth strategy.ResponsibilitiesManage Center in Innovation inDiagnostics (CID) innovation portfolio and have oversight of allactive projects and the assessment of proposed new projects, usingportfolio techniques to analyze and present the projects in a systematicmanner to allow the CID leadership to identify relevant adjustments withrespect to the composition of the CID's portfolio.Maintain current projectmanagement tools and ensuring compliance of all project managers andtechnical leads within the organization to existing processes to enabletracking key performance metrics and project status to measure success.Provide direct consultation tokey innovation initiatives/projects, engage appropriate stakeholders,develop and validate research questions, collect and synthesize relevantdata, develop insights and recommendations.Collaborate with projectsponsors, project leaders and stakeholders to aid in development ofproject proposals including definition of milestones, setting timelinesand scope definition.Create effective mechanisms foranalyzing, visualizing, and disseminating relevant portfolio details tokey stakeholders within the organization.Develop new features and toolsfor project and portfolio management throughout the organization includinggeneration of training materials, training execution and troubleshooting.Monitor project plans, schedules,milestones and budget.Build successful workingrelationships with internal stakeholders.Serve as project manager onspecial projects and initiatives.Ability to travel up to 15%YourExpertise:8+ years of progressive projectand portfolio management experience in the medical device industry.Bachelor's degree in lifesciences, engineering or related discipline required. Master's or PhDpreferred.Proven track record of buildingrelationships within global matrixed teams and ability to influencewithout direct authority.Excellent communication andpresentation skills with ability to communicate with stakeholders anddifferent levels of management.Must be able to provideleadership to generate options, resolve problems, prioritize solutions,select optimal solutions and implement decisions.PMP and/or PgMP, PfMP orequivalent desiredThe payrange for this position is $135,000 - $180,000 w/ 10% bonus of base; however,base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, andexperience.
