Cell-Based Assay Scientist (Contract Role - 1 Year Contract)

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (100% Onsite – Local candidates preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize novel cell-based assays to support high-throughput screening (HTS), lead optimization, and mechanism-of-action studies.
• Design, implement, and refine gene-editing workflows (e.g., CRISPR knock-out/in) to develop disease-relevant, cell-based functional assays.
• Investigate and optimize methods to ensure reproducible and reliable data generation.
• Plan and execute experiments independently while adapting to evolving project needs.
• Stay up to date with the latest scientific literature and contribute to data interpretation in group discussions.
• Maintain excellent laboratory practices, including documentation and adherence to safety guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:

• PhD: 0+ years of relevant experience
• MS: 2+ years of relevant experience
• BS: 4+ years of relevant experience
