Cell-Based Assay Scientist (Contract Role - 1 Year Contract)
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA (100% Onsite – Local candidates preferred)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize novel cell-based assays to support high-throughput screening (HTS), lead optimization, and mechanism-of-action studies.
- Design, implement, and refine gene-editing workflows (e.g., CRISPR knock-out/in) to develop disease-relevant, cell-based functional assays.
- Investigate and optimize methods to ensure reproducible and reliable data generation.
- Plan and execute experiments independently while adapting to evolving project needs.
- Stay up to date with the latest scientific literature and contribute to data interpretation in group discussions.
- Maintain excellent laboratory practices, including documentation and adherence to safety guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- PhD: 0+ years of relevant experience
- MS: 2+ years of relevant experience
- BS: 4+ years of relevant experience
Top Skills Required:
Expertise in cell-based assay development (e.g., TR-FRET, BRET, AlphaLISA, luminescence/fluorescence assays) and lab automation experience.Proven experience in designing and performing cell-based screening assays in microtiter plates for early drug discovery.Ability to implement and optimize gene-editing workflows (e.g., CRISPR knock-out/in).
