Title: Scientist- Raw Materials

Location: Clark, NJ 07066

Duration: 8 Months

Pay Rate: $35/hr on W2

Shift: 8:30-5:00 pm

Scientist

The team is responsible for securing the Raw Materials used by our Brands. Compliancy in terms of global Regulatory, Safety, Claims, EHS and Company Position are key aspects of securing the raw materials in the company portfolio.

MAJOR FUNCTION

• Independently ensure raw materials coded have sufficient data to meet safety and regulatory requirements, comply with company positions and raw material specific requirements. Analyze data received from Suppliers to ensure the quality and accuracy of the information.
• Utilize internal and external sites and/or references to ensure the coherency of the information received for the ingredients used in Raw Materials.
• Understand key drivers for the project. Ensure prompt communication and escalation of blocking points, delays and project status.
• Evaluate RM coding progress based on knowledge of company requirements, project goals and Brand philosophy.
• Work with flexibility and drive to complete tasks based on project priorities.
• Take the initiative to recommend process efficiencies, build relationships and grow in technical knowledge.
• Apply learnings to new projects and tasks. Be able to transition from different projects without losing focus or understanding of individual project goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in a Science discipline with 2-3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and prioritization
• Good attention to detail and quality of work
• Self-directed and independent project management.
