Scrap Cutter - Phoenix Global Corporation : Job Details

Our Full-Service Menu includes marketing-focused slag scrap management, innovative production support, intelligent transport and handling logistics, professional maintenance, customized protective packaging, and technology-driven project management. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Scrap Cutter/Burner is responsible for ensuring scrap metal is prepared for processing. This includes identifying ferrous materials and sorting metals as well as cutting scrap metal into specified sizes from the ground or aerial lift. (Other duties may be assigned and management retains the discretion to add, delete, or change the duties at any time). Required qualifications and experience:

• Torch cutting experience is required.
• Ability to understand basic measurements.
• Able to safely and correctly use tools and equipment as needed.
• Ability to follow work instructions, including safety rules, work instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to work with others.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: Perform job tasks in wet and/or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, and work in outdoor weather. Routinely lift and move 50lbs. Be physically capable of wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which is required in most designated work areas. Routinely work from heights.
