Your Role
The Health Solutions IT Portfolio team defines and deliver solutions that meet business objectives and will serve as a facilitator between the business and IT in understanding the business needs; leads eliciting, analyzing, validating, and managing requirements, processes, and high-level solution designs; is a proactive member of an Agile product team. The Consultant Scrum Master will report to the Health Solutions IT Portfolio team Senior Manager. In this role you will serve as a Scrum master for multiple Agile teams, and facilitates facilitate and guide a scrum teams through the SaFe framework and agile principles. You should be committed to the scrum methodology, agile principles, and best practicesbut should also remain flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow.
Your Work
In this role, you will:
- Agile Team Support - Serves as the Scrum Master/Team Coach for Agile teams.
- Educates and leads one or more Agile teams in Scrum, Built-in Quality, Kanban and Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles and practices.
- Facilitates Program Increment (PI) Planning readiness by preparing the Agile team for PI Planning and supporting the team to create PI plans, objectives, and business values.
- Collaborates with other Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches and Product Management roles across the enterprise to help business units mature on the path towards business agility.
- Leads iteration execution by facilitating team events (e.g., backlog refinement, team planning, team sync, team review and demo, retrospective).
- Partners with the Product Owner to help the Agile team apply Customer-Centricity and Design Thinking tools and techniques to manage the backlog and manage the teams work, priorities, and capacity allocation.
- Leads the Agile team at the Agile Release Train Syncs, Scrum of Scrum Syncs, and Coaches Syncs.
- Leads the Agile team to eliminate impediments, delays, waste and bottlenecks by visualizing the work, establishing metrics to track overall performance, coaching built-in quality practices, and measuring and optimizing flow. Fosters an environment that promotes high performance, continuous flow, relentless improvement, cross-team collaboration, and problem solving.
- Drives continuous improvement via workshop facilitation in the Inspect and Adapt ceremony; assesses the agility level of the team(s) and helps them improve.
- Participates and/or facilitates Communities of Practice to promote the Lean-Agile mindset and ways of working.
- Facilitates getting the work done through positive influence and assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
- Works to achieve performance targets with direct impact on organizational outcomes. Works independently under limited supervision.
- Responsible for supporting one or more Agile teams and Agile Release Trains (ART).
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own job function.
- Works to influence parties within and outside of the job function at an operational level regarding policies, procedures, and practices.
- Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to employees across the organization.
Your Knowledge and Experience
- Requires bachelors degree or equivalent experience and Scaled Agile (SAFe) Certification and 7 years of Project Management skills or Scrum Master experience.
- Requires Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification: Scrum Master or Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM).
- Preferred Scrum Master certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP, CTC); CSM, A-CSM (Scrum Alliance certifications).
- Preferred experience as a Scrum Master role for minimum of two years for a Scrum team.
- Preferred experience using JIRA and Agile Place.
Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is: $ 118800.00 to $ 178200.00 for California.
