Scrum Master IntePros is looking for a skilled Scrum Master to join our team and drive the delivery of value in a dynamic, infrastructure-focused environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership abilities, with proven experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating the complexities of infrastructure ticketing using Jira. This role requires a balanced expertise in project management and Scrum practices, along with the flexibility to adapt to non-traditional Agile implementations. Responsibilities: •Facilitate Scrum Events: Guide and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure these events are productive and aligned with Scrum principles. •Support the Team and Product Owner: Serve both the development team and the product owner by translating requirements into actionable tasks. Ensure the team is clear on the requirements and support them in delivering value. •Track and Report Progress: Monitor the progress of the project daily, helping the team to achieve their commitments. Manage and report on the status of scope, schedule, resources, and financials. •Remove Impediments: Identify and address any obstacles or impediments that may hinder the team's progress. Work to resolve these issues promptly to maintain a smooth workflow. •Manage Scope and Requirements: Extract and document requirements, author user stories and acceptance criteria. Ensure that product quality expectations are well-defined and communicated. •Ensure Adherence to Processes: Educate and support the team in following Scrum processes and practices. Ensure that team members understand and adhere to these processes to maintain efficiency and effectiveness. •Handle Conflicts and Facilitate Collaboration: Take the lead in resolving conflicts within the team and between team members. Foster a collaborative environment and remove any roadblocks to team interaction and productivity. •Manage External Interference: Limit and manage external interruptions or influences that may distract the team from their work. Ensure that the team can focus on their engineering tasks without unnecessary distractions. What are the top MUST HAVE skill sets (technical) that are required?

  • Data Center Infrastructure Experience: Extensive background in managing and designing server hardware, virtualization, SAN switching, and storage technologies.
  • Cloud and Automation Expertise: Proven skills in designing cloud architectures and automating infrastructure processes using scripting languages like BASH or Python.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Cisco UCS, Workflow Orchestration platforms, and container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile practices and tools like Jira for effective project management.
What are top three PREFERRED skill sets (technical)? •Strong Communication Skills: Essential for driving tasks, facilitating meetings, and ensuring effective communication with cross-functional teams. Must be able to clearly articulate issues, collect and drive user stories, and help engineers overcome blockers. •Experience with Jira and Infrastructure Teams: Must have hands-on experience with Jira, particularly in a Scrum environment. Understanding infrastructure ticketing and how tasks (or ticks ) work within this context is crucial. Experience working in environments that may not strictly adhere to traditional Agile practices but still follow core principles is important. •Project Management Experience: Significant experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with various stakeholders. The role requires balancing project management and Scrum Master responsibilities, so experience in driving tasks, following up with team members, and managing project scope and progress is vital. •Agile and SaFe Understanding: While Agile coaching experience is not required, a solid understanding of Agile and the Scaled Agile Framework (SaFe) is necessary. Experience in different Agile environments, even if not strictly following SaFe as written, is important. Soft Skill requirements (team fit/personality requirements)
  • Excellent Communication: The ability to clearly and effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams. This includes listening, articulating issues, providing feedback, and maintaining a constant flow of information.
  • Strong Leadership and Facilitation: Skill in guiding the team through Scrum processes, leading meetings, and resolving conflicts. This involves being able to motivate team members, drive task completion, and manage interactions between different stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: The capability to identify and address blockers, adapt to changing conditions, and find practical solutions within an infrastructure context that may not strictly follow traditional Scrum practices.
  • Collaboration and Empathy: A collaborative mindset and the ability to understand and relate to team members' perspectives and challenges. This includes working effectively with diverse teams and fostering a cooperative environment to achieve common goals.
