Department Statement:Job Profile:Administrative Operations Specialist 3Job Family:Administrative OperationsTime Type:Full timeMax Pay - Depends on experience:$69,000.00 USD AnnualJob Description:Under administrative direction, this position manages various projects, works closely and collaboratively with stakeholders to plan, direct, organize, and execute against program requirements; identifies and acquires necessary resources and coordinates efforts by all parties to ensure timely delivery of program outcomes in accordance with sponsoring source's expectations. Primarily, this role manages the online components for the Mastercard Foundation-funded scholarship program focused on building the next generation of leaders in technology and innovation from Sub-Saharan Africa.Compensation:
  • The compensation range for this position is $64,000 - $69,000
Essential Duties:Program Management and Coordination:
  • Manage the implementation of the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program online component, ensuring alignment with scholarship goals and objectives.
  • Coordinate with campus partners such as ISSC, University Housing, Counseling Services, Campus Health, and other ASU departments to provide comprehensive support to Scholars.
  • Engage with the larger Mastercard Foundation network, attending advisor-specific engagements and events.
Scholar Support and Engagement:
  • Meet with Scholars to provide personalized support and guidance.
  • Plan and facilitate monthly Scholars' Meetings, incorporating professional development and learning opportunities tailored to Scholars' needs.
Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Establish and continuously monitor program expectations, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal team effectiveness.
  • Document activities, track progress, and prepare status reports, schedules, and other necessary documentation to track program milestones, deliverables, critical paths, and dependencies.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding scholarship program status and prepare regulatory reports to ensure compliance with all relevant stakeholders.
General Duties:
  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage projects from start to finish, including defining tasks, identifying work requirements, and assigning responsibilities.
  • Organize and manage events to support the Mastercard Foundation Scholarship Program, ensuring they align with program goals.
  • Review and ensure project specifications comply with existing codes and applicable University, state, local, and international requirements.
  • Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Evidence of a Master's Degree in a related field.
  • Experience with scholarship program management and administration.
  • Familiarity with sub-Saharan Africa and youth facing initiatives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in standard project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to make decisions to best serve participants and stakeholders of a project.
  • Demonstrated cultural intelligence, attuned to audiences with different values, beliefs, and attitudes.
  • Willingness and ability to travel both internationally and domestically, as needed.
  • Ability to clarify roles and responsibilities to ensure understanding of expectations.
Working Environment:
  • Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended period of sitting. Visual acuity and manual dexterity associated with daily use of desktop computer, bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a complex structured team.
