Seamstress / Sample Technician

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Seamstress / Sample Technician for our client???s Exton, PA area operation. This is currently a contract position and a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure with a Fortune 500 industry leader.

As a Seamstress / Sample Technician, you will have the opportunity to provide support to a team of Designers. The role requires an individual who is motivated and is able to work independently as well as follow construction direction from the designers. The role offers opportunities to collaborate with designers on constructing new prototypes to develop the next generation of new products.

Responsibilities:

• Sew and construct complex prototypes with accuracy and efficiency using industrial sewing equipment and industry accepted sewing manufacturing techniques with a high standard of finish.
• Layout and cut samples from paper patterns, including fabric, fiberfill and foam with accuracy.
• Follow directions from designers on construction of prototypes and provide feedback and solutions to the designers as needed for assembly.
• Rework samples as needed to incorporate changes per requirements

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of proficient sewing and cutting experience
• Skilled at reading specific sewing patterns
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines is a plus
• Strong communication skills and comfort working within a team
• Ability to follow instructions and be attentive to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects at one time and meet required deadlines
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
