Position will be assigned to work in the Streets Division, depending on the needs of the Department, maintenance may include but not limited to the following:
- Weed and brush abatement.
- Minor painting of facilities, piping/appurtenances and hydrants.
- Manual labor activities; digging and lifting of heavy objects.
- Creek and debris clean-up
Must possess mobility to work in the field; strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium to heavy physical work, to work around machines, to climb and descend ladders, to operate varied hand and power tools and to operate a motor vehicle. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Must also possess the ability to lift, carry,push, and pull objects weighing between 25 - 50 pounds. Safely work with team to lift and maneuver items weighing up to 100 pounds.The position will require a physical and drug screening test upon offer of employment. A background and fingerprint check will be completed before date of hire. A valid California Driver's License is required.
