We are currently seeking Seasonal Packaging Operators to join our dynamic team in our manufacturing and distribution facility.
Factory Location: Zephyrhills, FL
Compensation: $22.17 / hour Shift differential: 6%-8% of base hourly rate paid for applicable hours worked
Schedule: 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM OR 5:30 PM - 5:00 AM on a rotating 2/2/3 schedule Ability to work holidays and weekends per business needs Must be able to attend training for 45 days during the day from 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM [night shift only]
Key responsibilities include:
- Operate, changeover, clean, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on production equipment including fillers, labelers, case packers, and wrappers.
- Safely operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products to the warehouse or onto trucks for distribution.
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain energy sources for the forklift. Use scanning equipment for accurate inventory tracking.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics including efficiency, production output, and compliance with quality standards.
- Complete hourly quality checks and inspect raw materials and finished goods against quality specifications.
- Maintain organized work areas in compliance with safety and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to enhance operational efficiency.
- Cross-train to perform tasks on other lines or production areas as needed.
- Provide vacation coverage to team members as required.
Key qualifications include:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Two or more years of production experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food or beverage industry.
- Prior experience operating a forklift is desired.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and enterprise management software (SAP).
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions.
- Demonstrated sense of urgency in a fast-paced production environment.
- Physical ability to move/lift 50 lbs multiple times over a 12-hour shift.
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to pass an online skills assessment and completion of a post-offer physical, drug screen, and background check.
- Willingness to work in a facility with minimal temperature control.
