Position Overview Salary: $15.00/hour Work Schedule: To Be Determined Job Summary: Responsible the digitization of Billings Police Department records. Scope of Responsibility: Incumbents follow prescribed procedures in handling, filing data. Working with readily available supervision, incumbents perform work according to clearly defined principles. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Sort and prepare records for retention
- Avoid duplicating existing digital records
- Ability to recognize small differences between documents
- Appropriately dispose of paper copies of digitized records
- Assist with filing and document review
- Preforms other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills Required Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and a Federal and State criminal history background check
- Must be able to learn the Billings Police Department records management system within 30 days
- Position requires reading and numerical classification
Physical Demands and Working Conditions Requires significant physical effort, moving between 25 and 60 pounds, on an intermittent basis (less than 15% of the time). Requires high attention to detail or deadlines on a frequent basis (between 45% and 70% of the time).
