Job Description Responsibilities •Responsible for the processing and disposition of outbound product to respective customers using the designated/preferred shipping method
- Responsible for submitting export documentation electronically to AES Direct for international shipments.
- Knowledge of Pitney Bowes and QAD as it pertains to shipping, receiving, verifying and picking.
- Understanding of International shipments, documents and customer requirements.
- Responsible for submitting export documentation electronically to AES Direct for international shipments.
- Filing of daily work records. Manually as well as electronically.
- Keep shipping stations organized, neat and supplied properly with adequate levels of supplies
- Verify store and invoice information on all shipping packages prior to packaging them out
- Inform managment if customer orders are partial or incomplete
- Learn and understand all customer account shipping requirements and new processes
- The ordering of shipping supplies and maintaining a sufficient inventory.
- The shipping of contractor orders, proper labeling and record keeping.
- Schedule pick ups for various carriers e.g. Brinks, Malca Amit and Dunbar
- Reply and follow up on internal customer requests
- Responsible for packing out of all items processed for all carriers. Printing the end of day report as well as transportation of shipments to the loading dock.
- Assist the with picking and verifying as needed
- Assist in other departments as needed
- Understanding of loading dock, shipping, receiving and security procedures pertaining to inbound and outbound shipments
- Organize, consolidate and pack out repairs based upon priorities given daily
Qualifications - Good verbal and written communication skills
- Detail and Multi task oriented
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
- Must be able to assist in other areas of the department
- Computer Knowledge: Use of R/F Scanning helpful as well as shipping/picking/verifying
- A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position or environment
