Salary: $15.00 - $18.00 Hourly Location : 1751 College Ave. Elko, NV Job Type: Seasonal Job Number: 24-47 Department: Recreation Opening Date: 11/08/2024 Closing Date: 12/2/2024 8:00 AM Pacific Description Monitors SnoBowl lift and rope tow operations and assists guests with the use thereof. Greets guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is supervised by the Parks and Recreation Director. Essential Functions(Performance of these functions is the reason the job exists. Assigned job tasks/duties are not limited to the essential functions)

• Responsible for safe and efficient ski lift operation and emergency assistance.
• Assist guests with loading, riding, and unloading from chairlift.
• Must be safety conscious and able to make quick decisions.
• Perform snow removal, daily setup, and assist with routine maintenance of lift areas.
• Conduct and document daily lift inspections.
• Assist with servicing and preparing rental equipment. Work independently or on a small team to accomplish job related tasks.

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (KSAs are the attributes required to perform a job; generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or training).Knowledge of:

• Quality customer service practices.
• Basic skiing and snowboarding methods.

Skill and Ability to:

• Carefully observe work environment with good judgment and timely responses.
• Operate a computer, telephone, and two-way radio.
• Operate a motor vehicle safely.
• Communicate effectively with the public.
• Work safely and effectively with employees and the public.
• Work independently with limited supervision.

Experience and Training:

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ski and/or snowboarding experience preferred.
