Don\'t miss this opportunity to explore a career with us firsthand!For details on the job fair and to RSVP, please click here:Job SummaryThis position will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and administrative support to their assigned site.\ Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Answer visitor inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, providing accurate and detailed information about the center\'s offerings, exhibits, and services. Answer the wildlife hotline and provide advice regarding sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, wildlife laws, nuisance wildlife and natural history questions.Handle complaints or issues with patience and professionalism.Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry, filing, record keeping, and preparing mailings.Process animal admissions including applying admission guidelines, clinical animal checks, and medical chart creation and entry.Triage a wide variety of native wildlife, including safe wildlife handling and temporary restraint and set up.Foster a working environment that promotes safe work habits; Become familiar with and observe all applicable safety rules, policies, and work procedures; Follow all safety rules that pertain to the duties performed and support all aspects of the District\'s safety and risk management program; Keep work area clean, orderly, and free of hazards; Immediately report all unsafe conditions and incidents.Maintains a supportive working environment and demonstrates a desire to exceed the expectations of internal and external customers.Perform other duties as required.\ Requirements:Experience with animal handling preferred.\ Natural history knowledge preferred.\ Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.\ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.\ Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.\ Social and situational perceptiveness.\ Time management skills.\ Ability to keep neat and accurate records.\ Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.\ Coordination when dealing and working with others.\ Dealing effectively with the public.Schedule: Position starts in May 2025 and ends in September 2025. The shift is 8:30AM - 5PM with the schedule of either Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday OR Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
