Secondary Operator - 2nd Shift - R and L Spring Company / Medicoil : Job Details

Job Summary: The secondary operator under general supervision will be required to set up and operate various equipment and perform associated tasks to produce quality products for our customers in a cost-effective and timely manner. **$1/hr shift premium Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate or tend machines to perform secondary operations on coils which may include:
• Trimming, welding, grinding, heat shrinking, washing, pad printing, ect
• In process inspection of parts being produced.
• Shutting down and notifying a supervisor when there is an apparent failure or quality issue
• Stop machines to remove completed components
• Monitors machines for failures and makes proper adjustments.
• Learn to use inspection tools and test equipment
• Completes necessary paperwork and traveler documentation.
• Follow Medicoil workmanship and quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Abides by all Medicoil policies and procedures as stated in the Employee Handbook
• Abides by all Medicoil safety standards and requirements
• Alerts the supervisor and/or Quality Control when nonconformance's are found
• Responsible for understanding and following ISO 13485 standards and continuous improvements as it relates to this position.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to read and follow written work instructions

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Basic tool knowledge
• Preferred manufacturing experience
• Reading and understanding of customer blueprints

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at times.
