LOCATION: Secondary Driven Academy at Maumelle High

QUALIFICATIONS:

* High School Graduate

* Experience in general office work

* Accurately type 55 WPM

* Highly skilled on personal computer

* Evidence of strong interpersonal skills

* Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Equity and Pupil Services/Secondary DVA Principal

JOB GOAL: Responsible for maintaining all data necessary to provide an accurate, concise, and permanent educational record including attendance for each student.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Input/update student information into e-school system.

* Perform administrative services to enroll new students , initiate necessary records, withdraw students and retire necessary records.

* Maintain an accurate, permanent record of each student's educational and performance accomplishments and process all request for student transcripts.

* Prepare reports relative to attendance and enrollment as required by the Pulaski County Special School District and the State Department of Education.

* Communicate with the counselor secretary to ensure that academic data is reported accurately.

* Receive and return in-coming telephone calls regarding student records , enrollment and attendance.

* Record and document all correspondence relative to daily attendance.

* Communicate with parents informing them of excessive absences of students and/or verify the validity of absences.

* Notifies teachers concerning communication with parents and students regarding attendance.

* Follows Pulaski County Special School District's policy concerning attendance notification letters.

* Record suspensions, reinstatements, withdrawals, and drops for non-attendance.

* Attend meetings relative to the performance of the duties of the job.

* Adhere to Board of Education policies, Desegregation Plan, district and school guidelines and regulations.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Salary Range: Range 3 - Support Staff Hourly Salary Schedule ($12.04/hr. - $21.32/per hr. depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract: 216 contract days

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Personnel Status: Classified

EVALUATION:

Performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Staff Personnel.
