12 Month Secretary - Office of Pupil Services
Description: The Vernon Board of Education is seeking a person qualified by education and experience to carry out the duties assigned to the position and in general, to establish and maintain high standards of excellence. The Office of Pupil Services is a fast-paced work environment that is focused on providing services for Vernon's students. The person in this role provides administrative support for the Supervisor of Special Education, and the Office of Pupil Services. Also included is the coordinating and monitoring of special education records, files, activities and reporting; and providing information, recommendations and/or direction as may be requested by assigned administrator.
The ideal candidate should possess the following experience/qualities:
* Experience working in a Special Education Office
* Maintaining 504 Student Records, Special Education Student Records, and Outplaced Student Records
* Strong technology, organizational and interpersonal skills
* Strong Excel, Word and Outlook Skills
* Ability to multi-task
* Ability to schedule meetings which require coordinating with multiple staff, agencies, and schools
This is a 12 month, 35 hour per week labor grade 8 position with a comprehensive benefit package.
Salary range: $25.81 - $27.46/hr. based on experience
