[email protected] SUMMARY/SCOPE:Thisposition is a part-time, non-exempt/hourly position (no benefits) providing clerical,computer, and staff administrative support for academic areas within thecollege as well as the International Studies program. Preference will be givento the Social Work Department and the Dean's Office for prioritizing theworkload. The person in this position will be working 29 hours a week on aregular basis during the fall and spring semesters only. There is an option forthis individual to work up to 80 hours between the end of the spring semesterand the beginning of the fall semester (no more than 40 hours per week), giventhat the need for such work exists.HSU JOB FAMILY CLASSIFICATION INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: AssistDepartment Chair in managing the program budget for Social Work and associatedstudent groups.Assistfaculty members with inputting and accessing data and materials in Canvas.AssistDepartment Chair with reports, surveys, data collection, and record keeping foroutcome measures for Social Work accreditation and reaffirmation.Assistfaculty with purchasing/requisition requests.Serveas contact person for alumni, prospective students, & others visiting theseacademic programs on the HSU campus.Coordinatepurchasing of office supplies.Provideassistance to the Administrative Assistant of the Dean's Office.Assistthe Director of International Studies, as needed.Requestwebsite updates associated with academic programs.Organize records and information (e.g., outcome data).Facilitatefinancial transactions for student organization events, activities, andbanquets.Design,distribute, and compile data associated with program-related surveys.Assistin scheduling other program-related events, meetings, and activities.Contactagencies to verify Social Work student volunteer hours.Organizemeetings and act as a liaison for Social Work Advisory Council and FieldInstructor members.Coordinatetravel arrangements for faculty members and students.Performother duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:Directly supervisesstudent employees for the Department of Social Work. Otherwise, thisposition is not scheduled to work the regular 29 hours during the summer months(June - August).
