Job DescriptionOur client, a healthcare system located in the New York Metro area, is hiring a Section Chief of Body MRI. The Section Chief of Body MRI is a key leadership role within the Radiology Department of WCMC. This position involves providing expert clinical and diagnostic services in Body MRI, overseeing the Body MRI section, and actively participating in the mentoring and education of resident physicians. This role requires a dedicated and skilled radiologist with a strong commitment to patient care, leadership, and education. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Excellence:

- Perform and interpret a wide range of Body MRI scans, CT, and Ultra Sound including abdominal, pelvic, and vascular imaging.
- Ensure the highest standard of diagnostic accuracy and patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Section Leadership:

- Oversee the daily operations of the Body MRI section, ensuring efficient workflow and patient scheduling.
- Develop and implement protocols and procedures to maintain and enhance the quality of Body MRI services.
- Supervise and support radiology technologists and support staff within the section.
- Collaborate with other radiology section chiefs and the Chief Radiologist to coordinate departmental activities.
Mentorship and Education:

- Actively engage in the education and training of resident physicians and fellows in Body MRI.
- Provide guidance, feedback, and support to residents during their clinical rotations.
- Foster a learning environment that encourages research and academic growth.
Quality Improvement:

- Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives related to Body MRI services.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of MRI equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Body MRI and incorporate them into clinical practice.
On-Call Duties:

- Share on-call responsibilities with other radiologists in the department as needed.
- Be available for consultations and emergency cases outside regular working hours.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Completion of an accredited Radiology Residency program.
- Board certification or eligibility in Radiology.
- Subspecialty fellowship training in Body MRI.
- Active medical licensure and appropriate certifications.
- Proven experience in Body MRI interpretation and clinical practice.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ongoing education and keeping up with industry advancements.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
