Job Description :

The Securitized Credit Trader will support the trading activities of the Credit Trading desk, with a primary emphasis on Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) trading and a secondary emphasis on Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS). There may be additional responsibilities pertaining to Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) trading as a backup to the main trader. This position will involve risk-taking and customer-facing activities but will also require diligent attention to administrative and operational tasks.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Market making and flow trading of ABS and CMBS. Directly engage with Credit Sales and a variety of customers, including ABS/CLO managers, mutual fund and ETF managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and others. Manage risk for a portfolio of ABS/CMBS held in the trading desk inventory. Provide market commentary and analysis as needed.
  • Develop relationships with partners in the ABS/CLO and CMBS banking team to provide market insights and evaluate collateral for inclusion in deal warehouses. Support primary issuance within the boundaries of the risk mandate.
  • Capture trades and settlements in front office risk systems, books, and records.
  • Liaise with IT on system enhancements.
  • Ensure full communication with the Head Office regarding securitized credit products and credit trading globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree and/or CFA preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience trading securitized products, five years of overall finance experience
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Intex, MarketAxess, MarkIt, and other industry tools/market data sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

The salary range for this position will be between $175,000 - 235,000. Natixis is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Actual base salary will vary and will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, skills set, applicable licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Base salary is only one component of our total rewards package. Natixis also offers a generous benefits package, and you may be eligible for a discretionary incentive award depending on company and individual performance.
