Key Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Review and analyze complex datasets to uncover insights and provide actionable recommendations tailored to business needs.
- Risk Mitigation: Recommend courses of action to mitigate risks, ensuring alignment with established standards and escalating high-risk activities for treatment as needed.
- Operational Excellence: Identify and resolve operational roadblocks, implement countermeasures, and ensure the timely remediation of risks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Information Security and other IT departments, to drive shared goals and ensure a robust security posture.
- Strategic Support: Oversee and provide guidance on cyber control frameworks and contribute to key initiatives such as Cyber Threat Quantification.
- Compliance: Facilitate the remediation of overdue cyber debt activities to ensure regulatory and internal compliance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related field (advanced degree preferred), or equivalent work experience.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with business intelligence tools and platforms (SQL, DB2, Power BI, Business Objects, Qlik, Tableau, Excel/PowerPoint, etc.).
- Proficient in logical and physical database design.
- Familiarity with System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST CSF, CRI, ISO) and Identity and Access Management principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Clear, concise, and effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
- Preferred Skills:
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
- Experience in the financial services or securities industry.
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow and advanced Microsoft Office applications.
