Security Associate - Reid Health : Job Details

Of Responsibilities Visually checks for security safety and fire hazards. Make written shift reports on incidents/events and any use of force events Notifies Inpatient Psychiatry Charge person of any incidents/events or use of force events Conducts safety checks and tests as required by State and Federal laws for a hospital and behavioral units. Assists inpatient psychiatric staff with volatile and aggressive patients/family members to ensure a safe environment. Promptly reports to Reid Health Police Officers incidents involving criminal activities. Performs contraband checks with inpatient psychiatry staff. Supports Inpatient Psychiatric objectives. Assists with patient restraint when necessary. Will be part of the inpatient matrix mix on the adult or geriatric unit and will be expected to remain on the units for duration of shift as assigned by the Shift Charge Nurse.
